Oregon-based Family Forward Action is a successful parent- and caregiver-led advocacy organization that has spent the last two decades building political power across race, class, gender, sexuality, age, ability, and immigration status, to fight for economic and reproductive justice for mamas and other caregivers. They’ve successfully passed statewide laws to increase childcare access, to get emergency funding to caregivers and families during the pandemic, and to drive public dollars to bolster wages for Oregon’s caregiver workforce.

The National Domestic Workers Alliance has tirelessly worked to change national discourse around the invisible labor of more than 2.2 million nannies, house cleaners, and home care workers in this country. Their proposed policy solutions and advocacy efforts have led to a number of big wins, responsible in part for 10 states passing bills of rights for domestic workers as of January 2023 D.C.
