To me, care means offering yourself, skills, talents and other resources in the best ways you can to contribute to folk’s overall wellbeing - including your own.

I get joy from offering myself and others an opportunity to be in spaces that contribute to feeling full, human, seen, appreciated and on purpose.

I pull from nature, Black folk, Black women (of the past, present and future!), Ohana (blood and chosen), and my imagination of what's possible to recall that anything is possible, everything is possible.

I really encourage folk to recall how on purpose their existence truly is - we are stardust.

To me, care looks like services , community, and education helping others.

I get joy from seeing children's progress and families break the poverty cycle from Homeless to home owners.

I pull from mentors in my community, my faith and family to help our children, families, and staff reach their maximum potential.

I pull from my childhood and experiences, my training, and the stories and wisdom of my ancestors to own the potential that I have to use my energy and voice for change.

I pull from Feminists of Color, Assata Shakur, bell hooks, and Gloria Anzaldua in order to advocate and organize healing and empowerment of women, girls and trans folks of all genders that have been harmed by the system.

I will never stop encouraging folx to step out and step up for communities and families that have experienced harm by the system (especially communities of color and those impacted by poverty) and acknowledging that us Mamas, Tias and caregivers are protectors, healers and advocates for our children.
